“Moonshadows: A Magical Tribute To Cat Stevens” debuts in Australia for 8 weeks in Melbourne’s Athenaeum Theatre before starting on a tour of the country. Wollongong singer/songwriter Darren Coggan will play Cat Stevens. The show includes 24 of Cat Stevens’ songs, including the hits “Moonshadow,” “Peace Train,” “Father and Son” and his first successful single “I Love My Dog”. The show, which follows his musical journey through two near-death experiences that led to Stevens’ rejection of music and its excesses for Islam in 1977, was written by Peter Cox.
