The blog Slacker Shack proclaims that Joni Mitchell‘s debut album Song to a Seagull has one of the best psychedelic album covers. As with many of her albums, Joni created the artwork on the cover herself. Art direction was by the late Ed Thrasher.
Naive and charming in equal measure, it’s also a great example of the vivid, wild and intricate psychedelic style that permeated late 1960′s musical culture.
